The rules are simple. You must post a picture taken by you or someone in your family. The picture can be taken anywhere in the world as long as it’s of a bear. Pictures copied from the Internet will be disqualified. In order for the pictures to be judged fairly, no text will be allowed on the picture itself or any information identifying who took the shot. Picture submitted may be used on this blog. Only amateur photographers please! Only two pictures per family allowed. All entries must be posted as a reply to this thread. We will contact the winner via the email address used to sign up on this forum. If the winner can't be reached within 7 days, prize will go to the runner up. About the prize
Our first contest prize comes from award, winning artist, Richard Russell. Richard and his lovely wife Erin have lived up here going on six years, and has enjoyed a lifelong career as an full time artist as well as gallery owner down in New Orleans. The prize is a hand embellished 14 x 18” canvas stretched on wooden stretcher bars. It is a limited edition with Russell’s original signature on the front. It looks like an original painting ready to hang!
